It is also the usual week to get the hospital bag ready. Not because something is going to happen, but because an emergency gives no notice, and a bag packed calmly is one less thing on your mind.
And although the baby is registered after the birth, planning it now — who goes, with which IDs — turns an errand done on no sleep into a short trip.
