The documents add up
With two coverages, the papers for a step are added together rather than intersected. The intersection sends you to the queue missing papers, and that queue is only worth standing in once.

A mock-up with example data, at week 20. In the app the week is yours.
If a step has passed, the app tells you "this procedure usually happens between weeks 18 and 22". It does not say "you are late" and it paints nothing red: the tone of urgency belongs to whoever is caring for you, not to an app.

You mark a step as done and the path moves on. If you got it wrong, you undo it: no record is kept of you having failed at anything.
